Your desktop system
no longer keeps up with the business
VB6, Delphi and Access still run,
but the environment changed. Here are the symptoms:
This is NOT for you if...
And every Windows update is a threat that it might stop booting.
No one dares to touch the code and any change is a risk.
Today you depend on the PC where the executable is installed.
And every new install is a fight with outdated dependencies.
What kind of desktop
systems do we migrate?
- We map your current system: screens, logic and database.
- We identify what to keep and what to rebuild better.
- We rewrite the app in modern, maintainable web tech.
- We migrate your historical data (including the Access database) to the new system.
- We train your team and keep the old system as a fallback.
From the installed .exe
to the browser in the cloud
We migrate the logic your team already knows,
without PC-by-PC installs.
Security,
support and control
- Daily automatic backups in the cloud
- Roles and permissions per user
- Audit log of operations and changes
- Direct support via WhatsApp or call, with the person who migrated your system
- No own servers or installs: just internet
- End the dependency on a single PC and a single Windows.
- Your system stops depending on a single person.
- Work with multiple users simultaneously.
- Your old system stays as a fallback during the transition.
- We migrate your historical data without losing a thing.

Frequently asked questions
Can I migrate a VB6 system if I no longer have the source code?
Yes. If you have the source code, we use it as a reference to speed up the discovery phase. If you don't, we reconstruct the logic from the running system and from the database. It takes more work, but we do it regularly.
Can the Access database be migrated to the new system?
Yes. We migrate the Access data (.mdb / .accdb) to a modern cloud database like PostgreSQL, preserving the full history. We validate the data with your team before the final cutover.
Why does my VB6 system stop working when Windows updates?
Visual Basic 6 and many of its dependencies (OCX, DLL, runtimes) have been discontinued for years. Each new Windows version is less compatible with those components, which is why you get errors or the system just won't start. A web app doesn't have that problem: it runs in the browser.
How long does it take to migrate a desktop system to the web?
It depends on the number of screens and business rules, but a typical VB6/Delphi/Access migration takes 8 to 16 weeks. Your current system keeps running normally throughout the entire process.
Will my team have to relearn the whole system?
No. We design the app respecting the logic and flows your team already knows, so the transition is smooth. We include in-person or video training and post-launch support.
What technology do you use to replace VB6?
Modern, mature web technologies: React or Next.js for the interface, Node.js or Python for the backend and PostgreSQL for the data. Everything in the cloud, with automatic backups and enterprise-grade security.
Your VB6 system isn't the problem.
It's the foundation for a web version.
With digmacode you can move it to the cloud
without stopping your company's operation.
